Opportunity Overview
Delaware North Australia is seeking a full-time Cage Cashier for a 13-month parental leave cover at Mindil Beach Casino Resort in Darwin. The role involves accurately handling all gaming-related financial transactions while delivering superior guest service in a dynamic setting. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, customer-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Handle and balance cash, coin, and chip transactions including exchanges for patrons, ensuring accuracy and reconciling all gaming machines, and report any discrepancies.
- Manage inventory of cash, coins, and chips—rotate, remove, and place orders as needed based on requirements.
- Prepare and verify the accuracy of financial reports and maintain up-to-date entries in computer databases.
- Provide currency supplies (chips, cash, coins) to other departments upon request.
- Consistently adhere to anti-money laundering protocols and security guidelines.
Candidate Profile
- At least 2 years of experience in a cash handling role.
- A positive team-player attitude with the capacity to stay calm and professional under pressure.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills along with competency in computer use.
- Certification in Responsible Service of Alcohol and Responsible Service of Gambling is required.
- Possession of a Northern Territory Casino Operative’s Licence or willingness to obtain one.
- Availability to work a rotating roster covering nights, weekends, and public holidays.
