Job description

About the Role

Join our busy café team where each day starts with brewing tea and opening doors, ready to create a warm experience for customers. As a café team member, your daily duties will range from food preparation to engaging with customers, all in pursuit of delivering excellent service and maintaining hygiene standards. Your role is dynamic, offering flexible hours and growth opportunities, with a minimum guarantee of 8 working hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of kitchen utensils and equipment.
  • Provide fast, attentive, and courteous service to customers.
  • Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene rules, including keeping daily records.
  • Apply first-in, first-out inventory rotation to preserve food freshness.
  • Receive deliveries and ensure food is stored safely.
  • Comply with all operational guidelines and policies.
  • Prepare, cook, and serve menu items exactly as specified.
  • Ensure that food standards are upheld and all menu items are available.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the café menu to customers.
  • Address customer complaints effectively and communicate issues to the Café Manager.
  • Keep informed about business updates and new projects.
  • Clear and sanitize tables to maintain a clean café environment.

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong dedication to hospitality and excellent customer service.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
  • Capable of efficient work and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Team-oriented with good communication and a proactive mindset.
  • Ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
  • Initiative to suggest improvements in work practices.
  • Good organizational and planning skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced setting.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
