Role Overview

This CAD Technician position will begin on site at the Adare Bypass project for around 6 to 9 months. After that, the role may move to any office in Ireland. Once the Adare Bypass assignment is complete, hybrid working may be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create drawings and models using Autodesk software.
  • Support Senior Engineers and Design Engineers with day-to-day technical drafting work.
  • Assist with BIM-related requirements on the project.

Technical Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of drawing software tools.
  • Ability to organise Autodesk files effectively.
  • Experience managing multiple Xrefs within drawing sets.
  • Background in producing construction drawings, including plans, sections, and standard detail drawings.
  • Understanding of CAD standards and the ability to apply them under direction from the Senior Engineer.
  • Confidence working with site engineers and wider project teams.
  • Working understanding of road design principles and Active Travel projects.
  • Experience with common data environments such as ProjectWise, ACC, or DALUX would be an advantage.
