Role Overview

We are looking for a full-time CAD Fit-out Draftsman to be based onsite in Dubai. In this role, you will develop precise technical drawings and plans for interior fit-out projects using AutoCAD, with proficiency in Revit considered an added advantage. You will regularly liaise with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and alignment with design intent.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D floor plans, elevations, and construction details tailored for interior fit-out projects.
• Maintain accuracy and compliance with design standards and industry norms throughout the drafting process.
• Work collaboratively with the design team to convert conceptual ideas into viable, practical designs.
• Use industry-standard CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and 3D Max for producing comprehensive and precise drawings.
• Stay informed about the latest methods and trends in interior fit-out drafting and design technologies.
• Coordinate closely with architects, interior designers, and project managers to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Resolve design discrepancies by communicating effectively with all involved parties to ensure smooth project progression.
• Perform all necessary 2D drafting to support in-house designs, layouts, and other layout documentation.
• Apply CAD techniques independently to prepare detailed design drawings without supervision.
• Review and verify contractor drawings for conformity with design, specifications, relevant codes, and standards.
• Conduct on-site surveys to verify actual layouts and prepare accurate "As-built" drawings.
• Provide expert input and support in drawing and 3D model development.

Candidate Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience working as a draftsman with an emphasis on interior fit-out projects.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit, as well as SketchUp and other pertinent drafting tools.
• Solid understanding of interior design concepts and construction methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• A meticulous eye for detail and a dedication to producing high-quality deliverables.
• Ability to efficiently handle multiple projects at once.
• Good knowledge of applicable building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
