Job description
Role Overview
Draper, Inc. is seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join our team focused on the Gym Equipment product line. This role involves producing detailed submittal and production drawings from client-provided architectural sketches and drawings, managing construction documentation, and utilizing specialized software tools to support project execution.
Primary Responsibilities
- Generate detailed design submittal and production drawings based on customer-supplied architectural plans and sketches.
- Develop and manage bills of material (BOMs) along with other construction-related documents.
- Compile equipment and material schedules as well as material quantity takeoffs from provided drawings and sketches.
- Work with PDF documentation using Blue Beam software to facilitate project coordination.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in 3D modeling software, preferably Autodesk Inventor.
- Experience with building or structural design is advantageous.
- Familiarity with file storage and document lifecycle management tools such as Autodesk Vault is beneficial.
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Preferred educational background includes a degree in computer-aided drafting or a related discipline.
- Strong communication abilities paired with effective time management skills.
