Cablebolt Operator

Role Overview

Redpath is hiring an experienced Cablebolter for a long-term position at Olympic Dam, one of Australia’s major underground mining sites. The role is based at the Olympic Dam Mine, about 550 km north-west of Adelaide, working for BHP, which produces copper, gold, and uranium. This opportunity offers an even-time roster, stable ongoing work, strong camp amenities, and a better balance between work and time off.

Roster and Working Conditions

• Roster pattern: 14 days on, 14 days off
• Shift length: 12 hours per day

Key Duties

• Carry out the complete cable bolting cycle in a safe and efficient manner
• Make sure drilling supplies and other required materials are available
• Inspect equipment and record any issues or condition concerns
• Prepare clear and accurate daily production and safety documentation

About You

You should bring hands-on cable bolter experience in underground mining, along with the ability to read cable bolt plans and understand ground support requirements. A current manual driver’s licence is needed, and you should work well in a team environment that reflects Redpath’s safety-first mindset: “Consider it done – safely.”
