Key responsibilities include analyzing code correctness, runtime behavior, memory safety, performance, algorithmic soundness, readability, maintainability, formatting, and adherence to detailed rubrics. This role demands advanced C++ knowledge, strong English proficiency for clear communication, and skill in managing quality assurance across distributed technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate updates and guideline changes to contributors using collaboration tools like Discord.
  • Address technical inquiries involving memory management, compilation, concurrency, and rubric application.
  • Monitor contributor engagement, follow up on inactivity, and manage participation tracking.
  • Create and maintain documentation such as style guides, FAQs, onboarding resources, calibration exercises, and quality metrics trackers.
  • Lead onboarding and training sessions to establish project quality expectations and review procedures.
  • Identify and report risky or substandard code suggestions that could be unsafe or inefficient in production.
  • Propose improvements to QA processes to reduce quality issues and enhance scalability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ professional experience in C++ development, systems programming, performance tuning, backend engineering, code review, QA, or mentoring.
  • Deep understanding of modern C++ features including RAII, smart pointers, templates, STL, concurrency, exceptions, memory management, and build tools.
  • Ability to detect flaws such as undefined behavior, memory leaks, race conditions, incorrect APIs, or incomplete explanations.
  • Familiarity with CMake, major compilers (GCC/Clang/MSVC), debugging tools (GDB/LLDB), sanitizers, Valgrind, unit testing frameworks, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, profiling, and static analyzers preferred.
  • Experience supervising or supporting remote engineers, trainers, or QA teams highly desirable.
  • Comfortable using collaborative platforms such as Discord, Google Sheets, Docs, task trackers, dashboards, and project management tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills for maintaining comprehensive quality documentation and procedures.
  • Experience with AI data annotation, LLM evaluation, AI training, or rubric-based code quality assessment is an advantage.
