Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a Buying Assistant specializing in Women’s Footwear based in Beaverton, OR. This contract position is expected to last over six months. Candidates must reside locally in Oregon to qualify.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Having 1 to 2 years of experience in buying or merchandising within footwear, apparel, product creation, or retail sectors, particularly in vertical, multi-brand, or digital settings.
- Possessing a Bachelor's degree is highly desired.
- Demonstrated strong interest and knowledge of current market trends to help maintain the client’s apparel as a trend leader in the market.
- Experience in buying or merchandising footwear, apparel, equipment, or similar consumer products.
- Understanding key retail and digital profit metrics including sell-through rates, inventory turn, average selling price (ASP), units per transaction (UPT), and other relevant indicators.
