Role overview

The Business Technology Director will work with CIOs and CTOs to guide technology-led transformation programs. This position requires a strong background in IT strategy, operating model design, cloud transformation, and enterprise architecture planning, with a clear focus on improving how technology enables business outcomes. The role also calls for experience in developing client relationships, shaping solution-led growth, and leading teams in strategy and transformation work.

Key responsibilities

• Develop trusted relationships with business and technology stakeholders and act as an advisor, connector, or subject-matter advocate as needed.
• Create technology strategies and roadmaps that help clients transition to modern operating models and platforms.
• Promote sustainable IT practices and technology choices.
• Design and support the implementation of modern, platform-based architecture.
• Spot opportunities to reduce technology spend and improve value through optimization.
• Lead cross-functional teams across both local and distributed environments.
• Partner with business development leaders to identify opportunities and help shape new engagements.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in technology consulting, enterprise architecture, and digital architecture.
• Demonstrated consulting expertise and client-facing delivery experience.
• Background in IT or digital strategy, IT or digital operating models, IT service management, and cost optimization.
• Experience in cloud advisory and strategy, cloud operating model design, cloud transformation, executive coaching, business-case development, adoption planning, and digital workplace transformation such as O365.
• Working knowledge of enterprise architecture and digital architecture across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Experience with application rationalization, modernization, API strategy, and API management.
• Ability to create technology implementation roadmaps and align business priorities with technology direction.
• Exposure to agile and DevOps transformation programs.
• Relevant certifications in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and agile frameworks such as SPC, SA, or SAFe Architect.
• Experience with outsourcing and shared services models.
• Strong planning, organizational, and resource management skills.
• Experience working across multiple industry sectors.
• Excellent communication, client management, and negotiation abilities.
