Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Business Systems Analyst with specialized experience in banking, particularly in wealth management, to facilitate the connection between business stakeholders and technology teams. This position focuses on capturing and translating complex business requirements into technical solutions while driving enhancements to existing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, evaluate, and document business requirements from wealth management stakeholders.
- Convert business needs into technical specifications for software development teams.
- Perform impact and feasibility analyses for suggested system modifications.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, quality assurance, product owners, and business leaders.
- Create and maintain thorough business and technical documentation.
- Support testing phases including system testing, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and suggest optimization strategies.
- Engage in project planning, estimation, and keep track of progress.
- Manage communication and set expectations with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- More than 7 years’ experience as a Business Systems Analyst within the banking sector's wealth management domain.
- Strong understanding of wealth management products, services, and associated business processes.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis techniques.
- Practical experience with JIRA for ticketing, tracking, and workflow management.
- Hands-on usage of Confluence for creating and collaborating on documentation.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum frameworks.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards for wealth management.
- Experience with data visualization tools.
- Understanding of banking systems architecture.
Additional Information
- Location: Toronto, Ontario. Onsite work required 4 days per week with face-to-face interview mandatory.
- Background check is compulsory.
- Initial contract duration is 6 months or longer.
