Job description
Job Overview
The Business Support Officer will serve as the primary coordinator for workforce, logistics, and budgeting operations within the department. This role ensures alignment and consistency across divisions and business units by managing related activities effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate department and division workforce movements in line with HR policies and approved workforce budgets.
- Collaborate with Cost Controllers to oversee workforce budgets, monitor the number of budgeted positions per division, and address any anomalies or necessary adjustments.
- Assess departmental vacancies against organizational approvals and work with Hiring Managers and recruitment teams to strategize recruitment sourcing efforts.
- Initiate recruitment and personnel movement processes ensuring adherence to established procedures.
- Support periodic reviews and validation of technical competencies, generating management reports on individual training plans and progress.
- Facilitate succession planning and deliver reports on employee retention and demographic data.
- Conduct orientation sessions for new hires and act as the main contact for employee inquiries, escalating concerns when needed.
- Support the National Development Program (NDP), ensuring nationals in the Assets organization are mapped to Individual Development Programs and Technical Preparation Programs.
- Coordinate various logistical tasks across assets and business units, including housing, office relocations, transportation, IT requirements, and supply chain demands.
- Assist groups and departments to maintain consistent implementation of management directives, requests, and initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration is required.
- A minimum of five years of experience in administrative or planning roles within the Oil and Gas sector is essential.
