Business Reporting Analyst I

About the Role

Mpact Home Services is hiring a Business Reporting Analyst to support its data team in Rockwall, TX. The role centers on turning reporting needs from internal teams into usable SQL queries and complete reports, working primarily with BigQuery tables and existing data sources to produce accurate results on schedule.

This position is well suited to someone with a strong SQL foundation who wants to deepen reporting and BI capabilities in a practical business setting while continuing to learn new tools and methods.

Reporting and Query Development

You will receive requests from stakeholders across marketing, operations, and leadership, then convert those needs into SQL queries against BigQuery. The work involves filtering, joining, and shaping data so it answers the business question clearly, and then packaging the output into finished reports for delivery.

List Building and Targeting

The role also includes creating audience and customer lists for marketing use cases such as direct mail, calling, texting, and similar outreach. You will generate targeted lists for customers, locations, and jobs based on campaign rules, service history, follow-up needs, and other defined criteria.

Report Maintenance and Data Quality

You will support recurring reports by keeping them working properly and resolving issues when data problems appear. Before sharing outputs, you will also carry out basic quality checks such as reviewing for duplicates, missing data, and broken or mismatched joins.

Documentation and System Learning

Clear documentation is part of the job, including explaining report logic and definitions so others can understand, use, and maintain the work. You will also learn the organization’s data setup across systems such as ServiceTitan, Five9, and related sources.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate has hands-on business SQL experience and is comfortable building queries and tables to answer real operational questions. You should be able to write SELECT statements with JOINs, WHERE filters, GROUP BY logic, aggregate functions, and CTEs for more complex workflows.

We are looking for someone who pays close attention to detail, can interpret stakeholder requests into the right query structure, and can explain report outputs and build logic clearly to others. Basic Excel or Google Sheets skills are also needed for light cleanup or delivery tasks.

Nice to Have

Additional exposure to Looker or LookML, BigQuery or another cloud data warehouse, and CRM or call center systems such as ServiceTitan and Five9 would be an advantage.
