Key Responsibilities
- Identify, establish, and grow strategic relationships with local banks, payment service providers, card networks, settlement banks, and fintech leaders to build a secure, compliant, and scalable fiat infrastructure.
- Lead the enhancement of local fiat capabilities including domestic payment rails, bank transfers, card acquiring, wallet channels, merchant settlement solutions, and regulated payment options enabling user deposits and withdrawals.
- Manage the entire partnership lifecycle encompassing market analysis, prospect outreach, pitching, commercial deal structuring, contract negotiations, KYB coordination, due diligence, and cross-team execution to expedite partner onboarding and launches.
- Cultivate and sustain senior-level connections with banks, PSPs, acquirers, issuers, payment processors, and major merchants, leveraging insights into market trends and regulations to unlock vital partnerships.
- Oversee end-to-end onboarding and implementation covering due diligence, commercial terms, regulatory assessments, fund flow alignment, technical integration, testing, settlement protocols, reconciliation design, and optimizing go-live procedures.
- Keep abreast of competitive landscapes, regulatory changes, banking climates, and payment ecosystem transitions to adapt regional strategies and support broader fiat and payments expansion initiatives.
- Monitor and achieve aggressive targets such as launching fiat channels, extending on/off-ramp coverage, increasing active users and merchants, activating partners, enhancing transaction success rates, settlement efficiency, and growing payment volumes.
Candidate Requirements
- 6 to 10 years’ relevant work experience in payments, fintech, banking, acquiring, digital wallets, or related financial services sectors with deep expertise in payment infrastructure, settlement processes, reconciliation, risk management, and integrating partners.
- Proven track record in enterprise business development, capable of originating, structuring, negotiating, and managing complex collaborations involving regulated institutions such as banks, PSPs, acquirers, issuers, and wallet providers.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Product, Treasury, and Operations to launch or scale fiat/payment products within regulated frameworks.
- Well-established network within PSPs, acquirers, payment processors, banks, or financial bodies across the Asia-Pacific region.
- Fluent English communication skills; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
