Role Overview
The Business Operations Specialist plays a pivotal part in advancing the objectives of the Operations function at Post Office Ltd. Reporting to the Operational Excellence Director, this permanent role, based in Chesterfield, entails acting as a trusted advisor and liaison between executive leadership and wider teams to ensure alignment and drive successful delivery of key priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Enable coordination of strategic and operational initiatives supporting the COO's business priorities.
- Drive visibility, alignment, and progress of functional objectives across teams.
- Serve as the main point of contact linking executive management with operational teams.
- Provide targeted executive assistance, managing priorities and stakeholder engagement on behalf of the COO.
Candidate Profile
To excel in this role, candidates should bring project coordination and planning experience within business or functional operations. They must demonstrate adeptness working with diverse stakeholders to achieve shared goals, high-quality written communication skills, and the ability to thrive in fast-moving, complex environments.
Key competencies include excellent stakeholder management, sound judgement in ambiguous situations, strong organizational and multitasking abilities, and robust analytical and problem-solving skills. Commercial awareness, professionalism with sensitive information, and adaptability are essential.
