Job description
About the Role
This position oversees diverse, moderately complex supply chain functions specifically for the Additive Manufacturing (3D) segment at HP. The role manages business operations and factory planning activities related to the production of Additive Manufacturing hardware products, including Prime, Service, Accessories, and Long-Term Consumables (LTCs). Close collaboration with cross-functional teams and Manufacturing Partners (MPa) ensures the timely delivery of revenue shipments. The role also participates in various special projects by cooperating across departments for successful implementation and completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with business units globally—planning, engineering, supply chain, and procurement—to support factory planning for finished goods printers, service kits, accessories, and LTCs in polymer and metal product lines at Manufacturing Partner factories.
- Manage Manufacturing Partner activities to achieve shipment performance targets, including on-time deliveries and controlling finance costs related to elements such as purchase price variance, end-of-month leftover scraps, order system forecasts, and consignment operations.
- Oversee HP consignment processes including receipt, reservation, and inventory audits within the partner factory.
- Handle scrap management including aging and active inventory; influence end-of-month leftover decisions to optimize operational cost efficiency.
- Manage factory overtime, downtime, financing, and storage cost activities to ensure cost-effective operations.
- Administer monthly financial operations such as flash reports for order status and purchase price variance and invoice processing.
- Collaborate closely with global business unit planners and Manufacturing Partners on build schedules, improving capacity usage and reducing operational costs.
- Drive order and shipment fulfillment to ensure adherence to on-time-delivery performance objectives for printers, service kits, accessories, and LTCs.
- Manage material availability and factory build capacities to meet shipment plans.
- Conduct quarterly and periodic business reviews with Manufacturing Partners to ensure supply aligns with shipment goals.
- Support new product introduction launches and manage production ramp-up to meet shipment demands.
- Provide regular inventory reporting and oversight to align with business expectations.
- Offer support for contract agreements such as Confidential Disclosure and Purchase Agreements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a four-year degree or graduate qualification in supply chain management, manufacturing engineering, operations management, business administration, or a related field; alternatively, equivalent work experience or demonstrable expertise.
- Have approximately 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably within supply chain, operations, or a similar domain.
