Job description

Role overview

This position sits within a health-tech company that uses AI agents to streamline patient recruitment for clinical trials. The product coordinates outreach through SMS, voice, and email, helping research sites reduce the significant costs associated with trial delays.

The company already supports seven of the top 15 research site networks in the U.S., including Alcanza Clinical Research, CenExel, Centricity Research, M3 Wake Research, Eximia Research, and Profound Research. It has been tested through more than 500,000 patient interactions across 190+ sites and 300+ trials, and is backed by Andreessen Horowitz along with strategic investors such as the co-founder of Flatiron Health and the CEO of Tennr.

What the role involves

This is a high-ownership position reporting directly to the CEO. You will be responsible for customer deployments from initial onboarding through optimization. The role is not guided by a detailed playbook; instead, you will create processes as the company grows and balance hands-on execution with strategic thinking to ensure complex AI systems are delivered reliably.

  • Lead customer implementations end to end, including scope, timelines, and success metrics.
  • Roll out AI agents in client environments and refine them using live performance data.
  • Create and expand operating processes for deployments across multiple sites.
  • Work directly with research site networks to clarify needs and set expectations.
  • Develop systems and workflows from the ground up when established processes are not available.

Must-have profile

The company is looking for candidates with 2 to 6 years of experience in a startup, consulting, or investment banking environment who have proven they can manage complex projects or operations. The role calls for strong ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to work without a defined framework.

A strong academic background from a top-tier institution is expected, such as a university in the top 10 to 15 range like Harvard or UPenn, or an equivalent school with similarly rigorous analytical training. The position is based in person at the San Francisco headquarters.

Preferred background

Experience at Bain, McKinsey, or BCG is considered a plus because it suggests strong structured problem-solving and client-management abilities. Earlier-stage startup experience, especially helping a company scale from zero to Series A or Series B, is also valuable. Candidates should be highly self-directed and able to solve problems independently without waiting for instructions.

Benefits and compensation

Employees receive access to a 401(k) retirement plan, as well as free lunch and dinner on site. Visa sponsorship may be available depending on the case. The equity range for this role is 0.2% to 0.6%.
