About the Role
Headquarters Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (HQ ARRC) operates as a flexible NATO command center capable of rapid deployment and diverse operational roles including Joint, Land, and Corps headquarters functions. HQ ARRC is distinguished by its multinational culture, innovative approaches, and a strong reputation for interoperability among High Readiness Force (Land) peers.
This full-time role is based at Imjin Barracks, Innsworth Gloucester, GL3 1 HW, working 37 hours per week on-site.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead financial governance and assurance activities for HQ ARRC and its affiliated Brigades, ensuring adherence to evolving policies and effective operational efficiency.
- Serve as the principal UK financial governance contact within HQ ARRC, responding to UK financial requests and collaborating extensively with stakeholders, including Brigades, UK Finance Officers, and the Resource Team.
- Thoroughly review ARRC business cases for accuracy, completion, and regulatory compliance in partnership with internal teams.
- Oversee all ARRC financial transactions, ensuring they conform to Army policy and budgetary constraints.
- Coordinate and complete assurance and compliance returns, acting as a key liaison for financial returns and allowances.
- Analyze monthly management financial data to identify concerns and provide detailed reports to senior management, focusing on affordability and compliance.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in computer skills with advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical ability to gather and interpret data to support informed decision-making for continuous improvement.
- Ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders across the organisation.
- Confidence managing workload priorities while seeking guidance when necessary.
- Keen attention to detail and capacity to process complex information accurately.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working within large, geographically dispersed organisations is advantageous.
- Background in finance or experience analyzing financial data is desirable.

Benefits and Terms
The annual salary is £37,720, with a £10,927 employer contribution toward the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme. Army Civil Servants receive 25 days annual leave, increasing by one day each year up to 30 after five years' service.

The role may include a hybrid work model with a requirement to spend at least 60% of working hours onsite, subject to operational needs. No relocation expenses are provided.
