About the Role
We are partnering with a leading business software company to find a talented Business Intelligence Consultant. This position is client-facing, where you will gather requirements, develop solutions, and deliver them directly to the customers. You will collaborate closely with legal teams, legal operations, and technology stakeholders to understand their workflows and identify where data insights and automation can add significant value.
The primary goal is to transform complicated or manual processes into clear insights and streamlined workflows. You will be involved from initial discussions to final delivery, helping clients improve their reporting, simplify approval processes, and make more informed decisions using Power BI and Power Automate.
This role is based at the company's Birmingham headquarters, offering flexible working arrangements with an expectation to be onsite typically once a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to client needs.
- Design robust data models, develop DAX measures, and perform transformations ensuring accurate and scalable reporting.
- Build and implement Power Automate workflows to optimize processes and approvals.
- Convert business requirements into efficient BI and automation solutions.
- Maintain data security and compliance with relevant governance standards.
- Provide clear documentation of solutions and support continuous improvements.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a BI Developer or Consultant.
- Advanced skills in Power BI including data modelling, DAX development, and Power Query.
- Hands-on expertise in designing workflows and automations using Power Automate.
- Strong ability to engage with stakeholders and capture their requirements effectively.
- Experience working in regulated industries such as legal or finance.
- Desirable: experience collaborating with legal teams or systems, proficiency in SQL and relational databases, and familiarity with Microsoft 365 integrations.
