Business Intelligence (BI) Administrator

Role overview

Infosys is looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Administrator based in Hyderabad, Telangana. This full-time, on-site role is suited to someone with a foundation in databases, BI platforms, and data analytics support, along with a strong interest in learning and growing in the field.

What you will do

• Help set up, configure, and administer BI environments such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, MicroStrategy, TRIX, or comparable platforms.
• Keep an eye on BI servers, gateways, and scheduled data refresh jobs to help maintain smooth system performance.
• Handle user access management, including roles, permissions, and workspace-level settings.
• Support business users who face issues with dashboard access, refresh failures, or other basic technical problems.
• Coordinate with data engineers and analysts to support the availability and correctness of data sources.
• Document system setups, workflows, and operational procedures for ongoing reference.
• Assist with platform upgrades, backup activities, and system audit tasks.
• Take part in testing, performance checks, and automation-related process improvements.

What we are looking for

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Exposure to BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik, through academic work or projects, is acceptable.
• Understanding of data visualization principles and basic ETL concepts is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
• Academic project work or internship experience in BI, analytics, or database management.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is beneficial.
• Basic awareness of data warehousing concepts.
