Role Overview
Primary Talent Partners is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst specialized in Pharmacovigilance to join their pharmaceutical client located in Lawrence Township, NJ. This is an initial 6-month contract position, with potential for extension. The analyst will be part of the PV Analytics Center of Excellence within Patient Safety, tasked with conducting data analytics, reporting, and creating visualizations that support Pharmacovigilance and Drug Safety operations.
Work Schedule and Location
- Workdays: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Work mode: Hybrid model requiring 50% onsite presence
- Possible sites to work from: Lawrenceville, Madison, New Brunswick, Princeton Pike – each requiring 50% onsite attendance
Compensation and Contract Details
- Hourly pay ranges from $55 to $60 on a W2 contract basis
- No paid time off or benefits included
- An ACA-compliant supplemental insurance package is available for enrollment
Key Responsibilities
- Create and continuously refine analytics models and dashboards to monitor efficiency, quality, KPIs, and gather stakeholder feedback
- Develop and maintain databases and analytics applications such as SAP Business Objects, Power BI, and SQL
- Independently build, modify, troubleshoot, and deliver reports and dashboards
- Enhance data retrieval processes to minimize manual workflows
- Aggregate and analyze data to extract actionable insights and answer critical business queries
- Perform recurring and ad hoc reporting and communicate findings to leadership and stakeholders
- Support monthly and quarterly reporting processes related to Patient Safety initiatives
- Address stakeholder feedback and partner with functional leads to implement solutions
- Ensure data integrity and traceability throughout all processes and support validation efforts with appropriate documentation
- Participate in initiatives aimed at improving processes and reporting capabilities
Required Expertise and Experience
- Proficient with SAP Business Objects (preferably version 4.3; version 4.1 acceptable with strong Power BI skills) including active report development and semantic layer management
- Advanced skills in Power BI with 3+ years of hands-on experience building interactive dashboards and data models
- Strong command of SQL for complex querying and manipulation of datasets
- Experience with Spotfire is preferred; familiarity with Tableau is a plus but not mandatory if Power BI skills are strong
- Background in Pharmacovigilance or Drug Safety, with understanding of PV data structure, KPIs, compliance, and reporting trends
- Bachelor’s degree and advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Ability to analyze complex data to produce clear insights and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong oral and written communication skills and proven cross-functional collaboration capabilities
- Self-motivated with a practical, execution-focused approach rather than a purely managerial role
- Commitment to integrity and confidentiality throughout all work activities
