Business Finance Analyst - Marketplace

Role Overview

Join Snoonu as a Business Finance Analyst focused on the Marketplace division, partnering closely with the Business Finance Specialist and supporting the General Manager and Commercial teams. This hands-on role centers on delivering insightful analysis, accurate reporting, and data-driven recommendations to enhance commercial decision-making. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Business Finance Specialist on daily commercial finance operations.
• Manage and monitor Marketplace profit and loss statements, focusing on revenue, take-rates, and contribution margins.
• Generate weekly and monthly performance reports including variance analyses.
• Develop and upkeep dashboards, trackers, and performance scorecards utilized by Commercial and Finance teams.
• Maintain data integrity across all reporting, models, and key performance indicators.
• Transform extensive, complex data sets into clear, structured, and actionable insights.
• Assist in evaluating pricing models, commission structures, promotions, and incentive schemes.
• Support assessment of marketing campaigns, partnerships, and new projects by analyzing ROI, payback periods, and margin impacts.
• Monitor actual performance vs. targets, identifying risks or shortfalls proactively.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting cycles through careful data prep and model updates.
• Communicate analysis findings effectively to internal stakeholders with clear summaries.

Candidate Profile

• Solid experience in Business or Commercial Finance, or Business Partnering, with a proven ability to support strategic commercial decision processes.
• Deep comprehension of revenue structures, unit economics, take-rates, and margin drivers.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and/or Google Sheets, particularly handling large datasets.
• Confident communicator who constructs reasoned challenges to assumptions based on data insights.
• Adaptable and comfortable working in high-growth, fast-changing, and sometimes ambiguous environments, contributing to building structure as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Over three years of professional experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, Business Partnering, or similar roles, preferably within sectors like food delivery, quick commerce, marketplaces, e-commerce, or other tech-enabled consumer platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of marketplace business economics, pricing strategy, promotional mechanics, and incentive programs, with a focus on profitability analysis.
• Hands-on familiarity with enterprise financial planning software such as TM1/IBM Planning Analytics and BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.
