About the Role

At Kiwibank, our mission is about improving the financial well-being of Kiwis. As a Business Enablement Partner focused on Risk & Compliance, you will play a critical role in integrating risk and regulatory compliance into everyday business practices, especially within the Customer Business division. You will engage in impactful initiatives and foster strong partnerships throughout the organization, driving decisions that benefit both customers and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Embed risk management and compliance seamlessly into daily operations, decision-making processes, and change projects.
  • Collaborate closely with various stakeholders to coordinate and manage risk events, resolve issues, and oversee remediation activities.
  • Support the implementation of controls and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Provide clear visibility of the risk landscape across relevant business areas.
  • Proactively identify and suggest improvements to strengthen compliance outcomes and risk mitigation efforts, securing sustainable benefits for customers and the bank.

Candidate Profile

  • Solid understanding of risk management, compliance, and regulatory obligations, applied with a practical, customer-centric approach.
  • Experience or knowledge of systems and processes typical to business banking environments is advantageous.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to cultivate trusted relationships and influence diverse teams.
  • Proven track record in managing or coordinating risk events and related remediation through to successful resolution.
  • Capability to pinpoint opportunities for continuous process improvements and strengthen controls and operational methods.
  • Experience in supporting regulatory or compliance change initiatives in complex settings.
  • Outstanding communication and problem-solving abilities, capable of translating complex issues into clear, actionable guidance.
