Job Overview
The role of Business Development Specialist focuses on supporting market development and facilitating customer coordination across the Middle East, North Africa (MENA), and Indian regions. This position involves non-binding liaison, promotional initiatives, and market support activities without the authority to negotiate contracts, approve pricing, or make binding commercial decisions. It acts as a coordination bridge between customers, distributors, and the company's commercial management teams located outside these regions.
Markets and Reporting
The primary markets covered include India, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Nepal, Kenya, Jordan, Angola, Ghana, Uzbekistan, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman. The role reports directly to the Revenue General Manager and requires willingness to travel more than 50% of the time.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor markets and generate regional business intelligence reports.
- Identify prospective customers and market prospects for evaluation by management.
- Assist in executing initiatives that increase regional market visibility.
- Collect data on industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
- Act as a regional link facilitating communication between customers and authorized management.
- Organize customer introductions, meetings, and follow-ups.
- Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
- Support relationship-building activities under guidance.
- Prepare market summaries, informational presentations, and opportunity assessments.
- Maintain CRM records related to customer interactions and market developments.
- Coordinate internal communication among customers and various company departments.
- Ensure service-level communication for customers in the region.
- Offer non-binding insights and market feedback to management.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Prior experience in customer coordination, market development support, or regional commercial assistance.
- Preferred experience in the food and beverage sector.
- Experience working within diverse multicultural and international settings.
- Fluent English language skills; proficiency in Hindi and/or Arabic is advantageous.
- Excellent coordination and communication abilities.
- Strong skills in market research and reporting.
- Comfortable operating within multinational, matrix-structured organizations.
- Proven organizational and relationship management competencies.
