Job description
About FiniGenie
FiniGenie is an AI-driven finance operations platform designed specifically for SMEs operating between the UAE and India. It consolidates financial activities spread across multiple tools—such as invoice management, bank statements, supplier payments, and reconciliation—into a single smart dashboard. Features include voice-based cash logging, automated statement reconciliation, payment collection, supplier payouts, utility payments, FASTag payments, and accelerated access to working capital based on trade data. The platform is currently live, self-service, and free to start using.
Role Overview
The Business Development Specialist (Business Hunter) role involves directly engaging with SME clients like traders, distributors, fleet operators, and manufacturers who typically experience long payment cycles (30 to 120 days). Unlike typical sales development roles focused on high volumes of outreach, this specialist focuses on understanding clients' financial challenges and driving them to adopt FiniGenie’s platform by demonstrating tangible benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage your own pipeline of SME clients across relevant sectors.
- Engage prospects by addressing their payables, receivables, and financial reconciliation pain points in clear, owner-friendly language.
- Convert conversations into active registrations where clients start using FiniGenie to process their finances independently.
- Close deals involving subscription plans and transactional payment services, such as collections, supplier payments, and mass bill payments including FASTag.
- Take full accountability for your sales targets including pipeline development, conversion rates, and revenue generation, with weekly performance reviews.
- Collaborate closely with the founder to provide market feedback that influences product development.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 2 to 6 years of experience selling financial solutions or SaaS products to SME or MSME businesses, preferably fintech, payments, or lending sectors.
- Have a solid understanding or quick ability to grasp SME financial flows including accounts receivable, payable, credit terms, and GST.
- Ability to succeed without relying on strong brand support, marketing teams, or inbound lead generation.
- Highly proactive with a self-driven approach to sourcing and closing leads independently.
- Integrity in sales approach, prioritizing trustworthiness over hype or overpromising.
- Bonus qualifications: fluency in Bengali/Hindi plus English, prior exposure to the UAE market, and experience as an early sales team member in startups.
Unsuitable Candidates
- Individuals focused on volume-based email outreach without meaningful engagement.
- Corporate salespeople who depend on brand recognition and polished sales decks to open opportunities.
- Applicants expecting a fixed salary without performance-based incentives.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive base salary combined with uncapped, performance-driven commissions on subscriptions and transactions, enabling top performers to earn lucrative rewards.
- An operational, live product that provides easy 'yes' moments for potential customers rather than hypothetical solutions.
- Direct collaboration with the company’s founder, offering strategic influence and exposure to pioneering fintech infrastructure development in the UAE-India corridor.
- Clear advancement pathway toward a Sales Lead role as the team expands.
