Urban Company Singapore

Urban Company entered Singapore in early 2020 and has continued to scale steadily. The local portfolio includes home cleaning, AC repair and servicing, as well as at-home beauty and wellness services such as manicure-pedicure and massage. Over the past five years, the Singapore business has built a strong customer base with excellent retention and is one of the fastest-growing units in the company.

Role overview

The Business Development & Operations team sits at the centre of strategy and execution, with direct influence on core business growth. The team is seeking driven self-starters who bring energy, ownership, and a strong execution mindset to help deliver exceptional home and beauty services.

As a Business Development & Operations Associate or Senior Associate, you will lead selected strategic initiatives that directly affect the future growth of Urban Company in Singapore. The role offers broad exposure across business functions and requires you to prioritize operational needs, strengthen category performance, and help take the business to the next stage. You will work with internal and external stakeholders across local and international contexts, develop a deep understanding of the markets and industries involved, and manage the service journey end to end. This includes using technology and SOPs to oversee the service professional fleet, spotting new market opportunities, launching new services, and shaping customer experiences that stand out. The role combines analytical problem-solving with hands-on execution to convert insights into measurable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Help shape the direction of the category by managing important operational and growth-related workstreams.
• Pinpoint structural bottlenecks and implement solutions that accelerate category expansion.
• Own analytical initiatives that address a range of business challenges.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams in marketing, technology, and product to deliver category-level and central projects.
• Stay current on industry movements and maintain a clear view of the competitive environment.

Qualifications and skills

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 0–2+ years of relevant experience in a similar position. The ideal candidate should consistently pursue ambitious goals, show strong initiative, and be willing to work hard to deliver results. A solid understanding of business fundamentals, sharp critical thinking, and the ability to use data to shape decisions are important. The position also calls for comfort in a fast-moving environment, the ability to solve unclear problems, and a strong focus on outcomes.

Strong candidates tend to be inventive, quick in execution, highly accountable, persistent, energetic, and effective communicators. Applicants with relevant experience may be considered for the Senior Associate level.

Compensation

The monthly salary is SGD 4,400 to SGD 5,000.
