The ideal candidate should already understand how to work with travel agencies, independent travel advisors, host agencies, and similar organizations. The main emphasis will be on growing distribution channels, spotting new commercial opportunities, and guiding partner relationships from the first conversation through long-term success. You will join a collaborative team that values innovation, customer satisfaction, and steady, sustainable growth.
Key responsibilities
- Create and carry out regional business development plans that support the company’s growth goals.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline of potential partners and identify opportunities for both immediate and future expansion.
- Find, evaluate, negotiate with, and onboard new distribution partners within the travel sector.
- Handle the full partnership journey, including prospecting, relationship building, contract discussions, implementation, and continuing account management.
- Develop strong working relationships with travel advisors, agencies, host agencies, tour operators, and other key travel-industry contacts.
- Track market changes and suggest fresh partnership opportunities that can support business growth.
- Represent the company at conferences, trade events, networking functions, and industry associations.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure partner launches go smoothly and engagement remains strong.
- Review performance data and prepare forecasts, reports, and business development updates for leadership.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, Tourism, or a similar field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 4 years of business development, strategic partnerships, or sales experience in travel insurance, travel technology, or the wider travel industry.
- Proven ability to build B2B and B2B2C partnerships and close commercial agreements.
- Existing connections with travel advisors, agencies, host organizations, or related travel distribution networks are a strong advantage.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building capabilities.
- Solid negotiation, organization, and project management skills.
- Comfortable using data to assess opportunities and guide business decisions.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote setup.
- Open to domestic and international travel when business needs require it.
