About the Role

Join Western Union as a Business Development Manager based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to significantly influence our global financial services footprint. Your primary mission will be to expand and nurture our network of remittance agents throughout Saudi Arabia. This role involves balancing relationship management, agent acquisition, and driving commercial success within the local market.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and sustain robust partnerships with current and prospective remittance agents across Saudi Arabia.
• Identify potential new agent partners and facilitate their onboarding to increase Western Union's presence.
• Enhance agent performance through execution of sales campaigns, pricing strategies, and product promotion initiatives.
• Seek new revenue opportunities within the payments and remittance landscape.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Operations, Compliance, Product, and Finance to align on business goals.
• Continuously monitor industry trends, competitive actions, and customer demands to propose strategic actions.
• Conduct performance reviews with agents and implement actionable improvement plans.
• Ensure all agents comply with Western Union policies and local regulatory standards.
• Lead commercial negotiations to strengthen and grow agent relationships.
• Regularly travel throughout Saudi Arabia to engage with partners and support business growth activities.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possess 5 to 7 years of experience in business development, sales, account or partnership management, particularly within remittances, payments, banking, FinTech, or related financial services sectors.
• In-depth understanding of Saudi Arabia's payment and remittance environment.
• Track record of effectively managing partnerships and achieving business results.
• Knowledgeable about compliance and regulatory frameworks, including AML and KYC obligations.
• Excellent negotiation, sales, and relationship-building skills.
• Analytical approach to assessing business performance and identifying growth avenues.
• Outstanding communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational abilities.
• Adept at working in a dynamic, matrixed, and culturally diverse workplace.
• Fluent in English, with Arabic proficiency preferred.
• Resident of Saudi Arabia with readiness for necessary travel.

Work Arrangement

This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring a minimum of three days per week onsite in Riyadh.
