The Role
Rotork is seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Business Development Manager to spearhead growth within the Chemical, Process & Industrial (CPI) markets across the EMEA region. This pivotal customer-facing position involves identifying emerging project opportunities, influencing technical specifications, and establishing Rotork as the preferred supplier for electric actuation, gears, and instrumentation. Reporting to the Head of Strategy for the EMEA CPI team, you will collaborate within a matrix structure, working closely with regional sales teams, product managers, and senior leadership to align strategies, coordinate customer engagement, and execute growth initiatives effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement growth strategies for key CPI segments, including chemical, HVAC, mining, marine, and data-centre cooling.
- Proactively identify and pursue new projects during their feasibility and design phases, influencing specifications with end-users and EPCs.
- Cultivate robust relationships across the CPI value chain, encompassing OEMs, EPCs, contractors, and end-users.
- Collaborate with regional sales, product management, and engineering teams to refine product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies.
- Provide critical market intelligence, competitive analysis, and customer feedback to inform commercial decision-making.
- Support the launch of new products, execute marketing campaigns, and represent the company at key industry events.
- Identify potential strategic partnerships or M&A opportunities to enhance Rotork's market standing.
The Ideal Candidate
- Possesses extensive business development and sales experience within the process, automation, or industrial sectors.
- Demonstrates a strong technical understanding of flow control solutions and the ability to articulate customer needs into compelling value propositions.
- Exhibits confident communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Applies a strategic mindset with strong commercial acumen and a proactive, self-motivated approach.
- Skilled in relationship building, negotiation, and achieving customer-centric outcomes.
- Possesses excellent written communication abilities and proficiency in presentation and Excel.
