Role overview
An established IT and telecoms technology company in Falkirk is seeking an experienced telesales-focused Business Development Executive / Sales Development Representative / Business Development Representative. The role centers on generating new opportunities by contacting prospects, arranging appointments, and supporting the early stage of the sales cycle.
What you will do
Your main responsibility will be to create fresh sales opportunities and book meetings for field sales colleagues, who will then visit prospects to present the company’s products and solutions in person. You will only handle the initial outreach and appointment-setting stage before passing opportunities to experienced field sales consultants. The position involves speaking with both prospective and existing customers.
Experience and suitability
Background in outbound telesales, lead generation, or appointment setting in IT, telecoms, or other technology-related sales would be especially useful. However, candidates from other sectors may also be considered if they can demonstrate strong lead generation or appointment-making experience along with a stable work history.
Work arrangement
This is primarily an office-based position in Falkirk, with the option to work from home on some days. Over time, the role may become mostly home-based if desired. Applicants must live within Central Scotland.
Pay and earnings
The basic salary is up to £30,000 depending on experience, and there is a strong commission plan that can significantly increase overall earnings.
