Business Development Executive

Role Overview

Driver Hire Yeovil & Shepton Mallet is seeking a proactive and commercially driven Business Development Executive to contribute to our expansion within Yeovil, Shepton Mallet, and surrounding BA postcode areas. This full-time, permanent position requires approximately 90% fieldwork visiting clients and 10% office work.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the growth of Driver Hire Yeovil & Shepton Mallet across the BA postcode territory.
• Acquire new clients by engaging with business owners and key decision-makers.
• Manage a personal weekly schedule to meet and canvass prospective businesses.
• Utilize various channels including face-to-face meetings, telephone, email, and social media to generate leads.
• Qualify and develop opportunities for temporary, permanent, and contract recruitment.
• Collaborate closely with the recruitment team to transform leads into placements.
• Maintain accurate documentation of interactions and opportunities and monitor territory activities to identify commercial growth areas.
• Represent Driver Hire professionally to foster an ambitious local recruitment business.

Candidate Requirements

• Essential previous experience within the recruitment industry, specifically in recruitment sales, business development, or client management roles.
• Strong grasp of recruitment operations and ability to identify staffing needs.
• Confident in initiating contact and building relationships with businesses through in-person visits.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.
• Self-motivated, organized, capable of managing own sales pipeline and territory efficiently.
• Possession of a full, clean UK driving license and ability to drive automatic vehicles; must be aged 23 or older due to insurance policies.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently throughout Yeovil, Shepton Mallet, and wider BA postcode region.

Offer and Benefits

• Starting salary at £27,500 annually, increasing to £30,000 after three months.
