Business Development Executive - Commercial Insurance

Role Overview

Jensten Insurance Brokers is seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Insurance professional to join as a Business Development Executive. This newly established role supports our expanding commercial portfolio, primarily focusing on mid-market commercial clients with premiums of £10,000 and above within the South of the UK.

You will have considerable independence with no constraints on geographical regions or insurance classes, allowing you to manage your business development approach flexibly — either independently or in cooperation with internal teams. We provide prospect lists, market insights, and industry memberships to aid your lead generation and client acquisition efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive growth by acquiring new commercial clients.
• Utilize provided prospect data and independently generate leads and opportunities using an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Engage and network through relevant industry memberships.
• Customize insurance and risk management proposals to secure new business.
• Cultivate strong client relationships both virtually and face-to-face.
• Ensure full compliance with FCA regulations and internal company standards.

• Demonstrated success in commercial insurance sales and managing clients.

• Organizational skills with strong prioritization capabilities.
• Cert CII qualification or pursuing this credential is preferred.
• Familiarity with Acturis system is desirable.

Additional Information

This position is remote-based; however, candidates must reside within commutable distance of the South West UK to enable regular client visits and maintain strong market presence. You can work remotely but also utilize nearby Jensten office spaces as preferred.
