Role Overview
This is a consultative business development position focused on selling executive intelligence and advisory services to senior business leaders, not a staffing agency sales role.
AlphaHire is hiring a Business Development Director to support growth across construction, infrastructure, energy, power, and mission-critical markets. The person in this role will identify promising opportunities, connect with executive decision-makers, assess prospect fit, and help move qualified opportunities toward client engagements.
The role suits someone who is comfortable speaking with CEOs, COOs, CFOs, CHROs, operating executives, and business owners, and who enjoys creating opportunities, opening conversations, and building long-term relationships.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in targeted industries.
- Engage senior decision-makers and lead consultative business conversations.
- Qualify prospects and guide them toward advisory or intelligence engagements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with executive-level stakeholders.
- Help convert opportunities into signed client work.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in business development, sales, consulting, recruiting, or executive services.
- Background in selling professional services, consulting, advisory work, intelligence solutions, or other high-value B2B offerings is preferred.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Comfort in conversations with C-level executives.
- Self-motivated, independent, and focused on results.
- Experience in construction, infrastructure, engineering, energy, or similar industries is an advantage.
