Business Change & Adoption Consultant

This position sits within IBM Consulting and focuses on helping clients navigate transformation programs with a strong emphasis on organization change management, adoption, and business readiness. The role is centered on working closely with client teams to identify business issues, design practical solutions, and support the successful uptake of new ways of working.

In this role, you will support business transformation efforts, especially those linked to ERP initiatives, and help ensure that people, processes, and systems are aligned so change can be sustained.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute change management work by applying methods such as change impact analysis, stakeholder mapping, role reviews, process gap analysis, and system landscape assessment.
• Own training planning and delivery, including training needs assessment, learning strategy creation, session scheduling, workshop facilitation, and development of training materials.
• Design practical business solutions by analysing challenges, testing assumptions, and building recommendations backed by evidence.
• Support process redesign and operating model changes by identifying needs for SOPs, governance, policies, and ways of working that enable smooth adoption.
• Work with client stakeholders to define business readiness indicators, adoption measures, and KPI frameworks for leadership reporting.
• Help embed solutions into the business environment so clients can maintain improvements and continue building on the changes after implementation.
• Bring a hands-on approach to creating user training content and adoption materials using digital tools and learning platforms.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure transformation efforts are aligned to business goals, process requirements, and measurable outcomes.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in change management, stakeholder engagement, communications, training, or organizational readiness, ideally in large ERP programs.
• Prior experience working in consulting firms is required.
• ERP project experience is mandatory, preferably with SAP S/4HANA, especially in Supply Chain and/or Finance areas.
• Strong understanding of core business processes such as Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Plan-to-Manufacture, and Record-to-Report.
• Hands-on experience producing training materials with tools such as WalkMe, SAP Enable Now, PowerPoint, Scribe, or similar solutions.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Demonstrated success in driving adoption, change interventions, and user readiness activities.
• Ability to apply multiple change analysis techniques to assess impact, readiness, and organizational needs.
• Exposure to AI applications in business transformation and a basic understanding of how AI can support decision-making.
• Familiarity with user-centered design thinking and its use in shaping solutions around human needs and experience.
