Job description

Role overview

Aviva is hiring a Business Analyst for its Transformation function in Dublin on a 6-month contract. The role is focused on delivering detailed analysis for regulatory and strategic change work, helping to achieve strong results for customers and the broader organisation.

You will partner with teams across the business to clarify needs, document workflows, and contribute to solutions that are practical, compliant, and aligned with a customer-first approach.

Key responsibilities

  • Gather, examine, and record business and regulatory requirements in a way that is precise, traceable, and aligned to operational needs.
  • Map end-to-end processes, assess business impact, and identify gaps to inform decisions and shape solution options.
  • Contribute to solution design by defining business constraints and converting complex information into clear, well-structured documentation that is easy to use.
  • Run workshops and work closely with business, technology, risk, compliance, and delivery teams to agree on scope, priorities, and requirements.
  • Support the full change lifecycle by drafting user stories and acceptance criteria, and by helping with requirements validation, testing, and implementation.

Experience and skills

  • Background as a Business Analyst or in a comparable role, preferably in financial services and supporting significant regulatory change.
  • Solid command of requirements gathering, process mapping, and impact assessment methods, with the ability to use them in complex settings.
  • Ability to turn business needs into structured requirements, user stories, and supporting artefacts.
  • Experience collaborating with both business and technical stakeholders, with strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Working knowledge of JIRA, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with an organised and proactive approach to information management and delivery coordination.

What the role offers

  • The chance to contribute to a major post-acquisition integration programme.
  • Exposure to senior leaders and strategic decisions.
  • A collaborative and supportive working environment with a strong focus on delivery quality.
  • Hybrid working and competitive benefits.

Additional information

Aviva welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and experiences. Candidates are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet every requirement.

Flexible working arrangements are considered, including part-time and job-share options. Working patterns are adapted to meet customer, business, and individual needs. Most employees work in a smart-working model and spend at least 50% of their time in an Aviva office each week.
