Role overview
This is a 6-month contract for a detail-focused Business Analyst based in Dublin, supporting the conversion of customer communications into precise technical requirements. The position works across business, content, and technology teams to make sure updates to customer letters and other communications are translated correctly into JIRA stories and technical specifications for delivery teams.
Core responsibilities
- Review large volumes of customer-facing documents such as letters, templates, and related communications.
- Check that tone, wording, structure, and regulatory or business requirements remain consistent.
- Turn business changes into Business Requirement Documents, structured wording templates, and clear functional requirements.
- Define business rules and logic from non-technical content.
- Build and maintain requirements in JIRA.
- Draft detailed user stories with acceptance criteria, business logic, technical logic, and communication variations.
- Ensure stories contain enough detail for development teams to implement with confidence.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, including content owners, compliance, and operations.
- Work alongside development and technical teams to clarify requirements and support correct interpretation of communication logic.
Required background
- Previous experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst.
- Hands-on experience in JIRA and Agile delivery environments.
- Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, BRDs, and functional specifications.
- Ability to convert business language into technical requirements.
- Comfort working in documentation-heavy environments.
- Strong attention to detail, especially in written content, structure, and consistency.
Desirable experience
- Exposure to customer communications, letters, or other content-heavy systems.
- Experience in financial services, insurance, or other regulated sectors.
- Background in content transformation or document automation work.
- Familiarity with workflow-based or rules-based systems.
