Business Analyst - T24 Core Banking and Digital Banking

Overview

An urgent requirement is open for a Business Analyst with solid exposure to T24 core banking, digital banking, banking channels, payments, AML, and the banking domain. The role is with a client in Doha, Qatar.

The position calls for hands-on business analysis experience in a bank or financial institution, along with strong delivery support across requirements, vendor evaluation, testing, and PMO-aligned governance.

Job Purpose

The selected professional will carry out detailed business analysis, capture and document functional and non-functional needs, support the creation of RFPs for vendor selection, prepare and review business use cases and test cases, oversee requirements and testing activities, and provide clear status updates and progress reports. The role also requires adherence to organizational standards and PMO frameworks to help deliver digital transformation initiatives successfully.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth project analysis to define scope and objectives, while ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder expectations.
• Work with stakeholders to identify business needs, challenges, and requirements through interviews, workshops, focus groups, surveys, and similar methods.
• Document business and technical requirements in a complete and structured manner so they are clear, agreed upon, and easy to track.
• Develop detailed RFP documents and participate in vendor shortlisting and selection based on project fit, compliance, and organizational standards.
• Draft and review test use cases that fully cover functional and non-functional requirements.
• Lead testing and UAT coordination, manage execution schedules, support issue resolution, and drive retesting until sign-off is achieved.
• Provide regular progress reporting on business analysis, testing, and project health to stakeholders and the PMO.
• Ensure all deliverables and activities follow internal governance, policies, procedures, and PMO requirements.
• Support day-to-day PMO operations by improving teamwork, process alignment, and delivery standards.
• Assist with project management practices, including plan alignment, training support, risk and issue tracking, and delivery monitoring.
• Review tender documentation and advise on RFP clarity before release to vendors.
• Monitor project team members and third-party consultants where required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in a bank or financial institution, preferably within IT PMO functions.
• Strong practical experience in T24 core banking modules.
• Hands-on exposure to digital banking, banking channels, payments, and AML initiatives.
• Proven background in requirement gathering, BRD/FRD preparation, use cases, gap analysis, and process mapping.
• Experience in RFP preparation, vendor assessment, and stakeholder management.
• Good understanding of project management principles and PMO governance.
• PMI-PBA certification or a similar credential is preferred.
• Ability to work within established organizational policies, procedures, and internal processes.
• Knowledge of portfolio and relationship management practices.

Additional Information

This role is based in Doha, Qatar and is intended for a contract engagement on an onsite basis.

The assignment is connected to bank digital transformation work and requires close coordination with project, PMO, and stakeholder teams.
