About the Role

This is a contract position for a Business Analyst with strong expertise in Quality Assurance and Testing within a global finance technology team based in South Dublin. The role involves working at the intersection of regulatory reporting, data architecture, and software delivery, primarily focusing on key regulatory reports such as COREP, FINREP, and Statistical reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a bridge between technology and regulatory finance teams, collaborating closely with colleagues in Dublin, US, and India.
  • Take full ownership of the BA function by conducting workshops, mapping data pipelines, and producing detailed Business Requirement Documents and Functional Specifications related to data sourcing, normalization, and regulatory calculations.
  • Lead the testing strategy from a Business Analyst perspective, including review and creation of complex UAT scenarios, evaluation of QA test cases, and validation of data both at UI and database levels.
  • Perform hands-on data analysis by querying and reconciling large datasets to ensure accuracy and transparency for finance and treasury stakeholders.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

  • Experience in regulatory finance, specifically in investment banking or capital markets, with familiarity in financial products such as Debt, Equity, and Derivatives along with regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel for extensive data analysis and reconciliation; familiarity with tools like Alteryx or Informatica is advantageous.
  • Demonstrable experience in quality assurance and user acceptance testing leadership, including UAT cycle management, QA test plan reviews, and validation of UI and database changes.
  • Exposure to Agile environments and comfortable working with globally distributed teams across different time zones.
  • Ability to work onsite in South Dublin for at least three days per week.
