Job description
Role overview
This opportunity is for an experienced logistics business analyst to contribute to a major supply chain transformation initiative based in Melbourne CBD. Working closely with the Logistics Lead, you will help reshape logistics networks, lift operational performance, and support a large-scale digital transformation spanning planning, manufacturing, and distribution.
The position is highly practical and suits someone who enjoys blending data analysis, process improvement, and project execution in a complex supply chain setting.
Key responsibilities
- Review existing logistics activities and pinpoint areas where performance can be improved.
- Create models for logistics networks and design the future-state supply chain.
- Document the full logistics and fulfilment flow, highlighting inefficiencies and process constraints.
- Assess freight, warehousing, and cost-to-serve information to inform strategic decisions.
- Contribute to project governance, planning, tracking milestones, managing risks, and preparing reports.
- Work with stakeholders across functions to deliver outcomes and support implementation.
- Help with change activities and the move into business-as-usual operations.
Candidate profile
You should bring strong hands-on experience in logistics, supply chain, or business analysis, along with a background in transformation programs or ERP-related delivery. The role calls for solid analytical thinking, the ability to interpret operational data, and a good working knowledge of transport, warehousing, and distribution. Experience in network design or supply chain modelling will be valuable, as will excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Familiarity with SAP ECC6 or S/4HANA is an advantage.
Additional details
This is an initial 6-month contract. The role is based in Melbourne CBD, with hybrid working mentioned across Melbourne or Wodonga. Some travel between sites may be required. A potential extension may be available.
Qualifications
Relevant study in Supply Chain, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
