You will also help introduce and scale new analytics tools and methods, encourage industry best practices, and improve query performance on large, complex datasets. Your insights will be converted into clear recommendations that support business or product improvements.

Key responsibilities

  • Improve query performance across large and intricate datasets.
  • Promote adoption of modern analytics technologies, standards, and best practices.
  • Translate analytical findings into concrete recommendations for product or business improvement.

Ideal candidate profile

  • Experience working with large datasets in data analytics and using tools and technologies to extract and transform data.
  • Ability to turn data into actionable information and present it in a simple, stakeholder-friendly way.
  • Strong at identifying root causes, trends, and patterns and understanding their business impact.
  • Comfortable building basic models, dashboards, and visualizations from processed data.
  • Willingness to work with GenAI tools to improve analytical efficiency.
  • Good business and communication skills to work with product owners and answer key questions through reports.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work through ambiguity.
  • Thrives in an agile, fast-moving environment on high-visibility initiatives.

Basic qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience using Excel, including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, and power pivots, along with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • At least 3 years of business or financial analysis experience.
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to generate business insights.
  • Experience making recommendations and influencing stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification.

Preferred qualifications

  • Degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, or a related technical or quantitative field.
  • Experience with data mining, ETL, and working with databases in a business setting with large, complex datasets.
  • Exposure to SQL, Python, R, or similar scripting or statistical tools such as SAS or Matlab.
  • Experience with BI and reporting tools such as QuickSight, Tableau, or Power BI.
