Role Overview
The Business Analyst in Corporate Finance at Aditya Birla Capital is responsible for comprehensive credit analysis, underwriting, execution of documentation, compliance, and monitoring of corporate finance loans to ensure adherence to regulatory and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed assessment of proposed financial transactions involving analysis of borrower backgrounds, enterprise data, project information, cash flow and feasibility studies, debt profiles, and group-wide financial evaluation.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments such as Risk, Legal, Technical, Finance, Accounts, and Operations, as well as external agencies conducting due diligence including legal, technical, valuation, and financial audits.
- Prepare and review Credit Assessment Memos aligned with regulatory frameworks and company policies, securing necessary endorsements from stakeholders including senior leadership.
- Issue sanction letters post-approval and develop frameworks for post-disbursement monitoring involving security coverage, receivables, exit and shortfall calculations, and portfolio reviews.
- Manage end-to-end case documentation compliant with company policies, coordinating customer interactions from loan initiation to post-disbursement stages.
- Ensure adherence to statutory and internal compliances including audits, charge creation and satisfaction, and facilitate post-closure formalities.
- Oversee daily operational tasks such as escrow funding, NOC processing, and collection of critical financial documents and reports from customers and third parties at scheduled intervals.
- Maintain rigorous tracking of loan-related metrics including sales MIS, certified progress reports, escrow accounts, dues presentation, insurance policies, and audited financials.
- Implement credit appraisals and system processing, thereby assisting both internal and external lender communications with statements and credit information.
- Monitor customer account health vigilantly to comply with risk parameters and regulatory norms, aiming to minimize delinquencies and maintain high asset quality.
- Continuously evaluate key project and developer parameters to identify risk factors early and advise on lending decisions.
- Keep abreast of local market conditions and risk environments, contributing insights for loan portfolio management.

This role requires thorough coordination with multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth loan processing and monitoring. Responsibilities span from credit appraisal to post-disbursement management, encompassing both qualitative and quantitative evaluations.
