Job description
Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Business Analyst specializing in Affluent Banking and Wealth Management to drive the bank's growth strategy in affluent wealth sectors. This role involves analyzing client portfolios, spotting investment opportunities, supporting the rollout of new wealth products, advisory services, and digital platforms to increase Assets Under Management (AUM) and boost client interaction.
Key Duties
- Analyze affluent clients’ portfolios, deposits, and behaviors to identify lucrative investment possibilities and underserved segments.
- Support client segmentation and persona creation to refine target market approaches.
- Conduct competitor and market analyses to discover growth potentials.
- Document and analyze business requirements for wealth management projects and assist in product/service enhancements.
- Develop business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specs, and process documentation.
- Facilitate development of advisory capabilities and operating models for relationship managers, including productivity frameworks and training needs.
- Evaluate and enhance customer journeys and digital wealth platforms to improve onboarding, servicing, and investment processes.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams—including Wealth Management, Retail Banking, Investments, Product, Digital, Operations, and Technology—to ensure strategic alignment and successful implementation.
- Create dashboards and reports on AUM, investment penetration, RM productivity, client acquisition, and overall wealth business performance, providing KPI analysis and improvement recommendations.
- Contribute to wealth transformation, digital banking initiatives, process improvements, and change management activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, Management, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Advanced qualifications such as an MBA or business analysis certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile) are advantageous.
- Seven to ten years of relevant experience in wealth management, affluent banking, retail banking, investments, business analysis, product management, and banking transformation.
- Hands-on experience with investment advisory, digital banking transformations, customer journey projects, and product implementation within affluent banking segments.
Required Skills
- Expertise in Affluent Banking, Wealth Management, Investment Products, Client Portfolio Advisory, and AUM management.
- Strong business analysis capabilities including requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, and documentation (BRD, FRD, user stories).
- Proficiency in client analytics, market research, competitor benchmarking, and KPI reporting.
- Familiarity with digital wealth platform implementation, customer journey mapping, and digital advisory services.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation, cross-functional cooperation, and change management skills.
- Experience with reporting and tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Visio, JIRA, Confluence; SQL and Tableau preferred.
- Methodological understanding including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, SDLC, and business process improvement.
