About Lane8 and Role Overview
Lane8 Consulting is a firm specialized in Business Analysis, established by active business analysts. The company views Business Analysis not just as a service but as an integral part of business operations. We're currently growing our pool of Business Analysts with several active and forthcoming projects for clients in Western Australia. We seek to connect with potential candidates in advance of new projects to avoid last-minute recruiting.
Key Responsibilities
- Engaging with stakeholders and facilitating workshops across both business and technical teams.
- Gathering, analyzing, documenting, and prioritizing business requirements.
- Writing requirements in the form of user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Mapping business processes including current and future states, and identifying improvements or reengineering opportunities.
- Translating business needs into clear functional and technical specifications.
- Creating visual aids such as process models, context diagrams, storyboards, and wireframes to communicate ideas and requirements.
- Working effectively in agile, plan-driven, or hybrid project delivery environments.
- Supporting testing activities through to solution implementation.
- Conveying complex information clearly and simply.
- Operating independently amid ambiguity and actively shaping solutions beyond mere documentation.
Preferred Additional Skills (Not Mandatory)
- Expertise in data analysis and modeling.
- Knowledge of integration and interface specifications.
- Experience with backlog management and feature prioritization.
- Ability to develop business cases and perform options analysis.
- Mentoring skills to support junior analysts.
Candidate Requirements
- Residence in Perth with an ability to work onsite for clients based in Western Australia; interstate candidates are not considered.
- Legal entitlement to work in Australia.
- Proven success in delivering projects within large and complex organizations.

Engagement Terms
