Job description

Role overview

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support supply chain and technology initiatives in a fast-moving merchandising setting. In this role, you will help shape projects by turning business needs into clear, workable solutions and by acting as a bridge between business teams and IT.

What you will do

  • Partner with stakeholders to uncover needs and convert them into detailed business and IT requirements in the form of Jira stories, using agile methods.
  • Produce and maintain product, system, and process documentation while becoming a go-to resource for related business and technical workflows.
  • Run requirement workshops, review proposed fixes and enhancements, and confirm new system rollouts.
  • Track project timelines, keep progress records current, and help ensure delivery stays on schedule.
  • Study data to spot trends and insights that support informed business decisions.
  • Work with IT and other departments to implement solutions that align with organizational goals.
  • Share analysis, progress updates, and recommendations with stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Look for opportunities to improve processes and support continuous optimization efforts.
  • Take part in testing bug fixes and enhancements, record test outcomes, and assist with demos and user acceptance testing.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Functional Analyst role.
  • Hands-on experience in an Agile environment and with Scrum practices.
  • Strong working knowledge of Jira and Confluence for story writing and documentation.
  • Ability to gather stakeholder input and turn it into detailed requirements.
  • Comfort with SQL queries and exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to work across all levels of the business.
  • Background in supply chain, warehousing, or merchandising environments is a strong advantage.
  • Exposure to automation projects that are not AI-based, routing optimization, and third-party application implementations.
  • Experience with AS400 systems and code development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.

Additional information

This is a temporary, onsite position based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The opportunity is centered on impactful work across automation, integration, routing optimization, and other supply chain-related projects. The employer is looking for someone ready to contribute in a collaborative, innovation-focused environment.
