Role Summary
This role seeks professionals proficient in British Sign Language (BSL) with solid technical expertise in video editing and a passion for digital video. The position supports Welocalize's operations in Ireland for a 12-month contract with possible extension. The role involves maintaining high-quality video content within a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Location: Ireland (Remote)
- Employment Type: Contract
- Duration: 12 months, with potential for extension
- Weekly Schedule: 40 hours; shifts from Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday, either 08:30-17:00 or 09:00-17:30 IST including a 30-minute unpaid break
- Annual Salary: €35,000
Key Qualifications and Responsibilities
- Fluency in British Sign Language, mandatory
- Strong passion for digital video and familiarity with the film and TV industry
- Comprehensive understanding of common digital video and audio technical issues
- Ability to work under pressure in fast, high-volume changing environments
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in digital video
- Proactive approach in identifying and resolving video and playback issues, including trend analysis for short and long-term improvements
- Prompt, decisive problem-solving skills
- Strong written and oral communication capabilities
- Knowledge about subscription video content services and their offerings
- Intermediate to advanced skills in spreadsheet applications
- Additional advanced language proficiency considered advantageous
