Job description
About the firm
Winston Taylor is a transatlantic law firm serving businesses, individuals, and markets that are shaping capital and innovation. The firm works across the U.S., U.K., Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East, offering the scale and pace needed by demanding clients.
The team emphasizes practical, hands-on responsibility from day one, with a strong focus on growth, progression, and aligning work with your professional goals.
Role overview
Winston Taylor is hiring a highly organised and detail-focused Brand Protection Formalities Paralegal for its expanding IP, Regulatory & Digital team in Dublin. The role supports a broad portfolio of global clients operating in dynamic and innovative sectors.
You will handle trade mark formalities across EU, U.K., Irish, and wider international matters, working closely with associates, partners, and clients in a collaborative practice environment.
Key duties
- Prepare and submit trade mark-related forms to the EUIPO, including applications, oppositions, assignments, and similar filings, while tracking prosecution milestones.
- Oversee the EUIPO user area and process incoming electronic communications.
- Keep the firm’s IP records accurate and up to date in WebTMS.
- Coordinate with clients, outside counsel, and trade mark offices on routine and procedural issues.
- Manage deadlines and diaries, including checking correspondence and recording key dates correctly.
Skills and experience
The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of EUIPO processes and trade mark formalities, along with strong organisational and communication abilities. Attention to detail is essential, as is the capacity to juggle several deadlines in a busy professional setting.
Previous experience in an IP or trade mark paralegal role, preferably in a law firm or an in-house legal team, is expected.
