About Kit
Kit is an email-focused operating system designed specifically for creators aiming to grow and monetize their audiences effectively. Tailored for coaches, YouTubers, authors, podcasters, and other creative professionals, it serves as a comprehensive marketing platform enabling audience growth, automated email marketing, and digital product sales all in one place. Kit operates fully remote and independently, committed to helping creators generate $1 billion in earnings using its marketing solutions and embracing AI thoughtfully to innovate its team and product.
Role Overview
The Brand Project Manager will join the Brand Studio team to optimize workflow by owning project intake, scoping, scheduling, and execution processes across the company. This role focuses on streamlining operations to allow creative team members such as brand designers, motion designers, developers, and copywriters to concentrate on their craft. You will manage intake and triage of creative requests, maintain sprint schedules, remove obstacles, communicate priorities clearly, and build improvements into internal planning tools using a systems-building approach, including AI-assisted enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the intake and triage of creative requests to ensure complete and clear briefs before delegation.
- Lead sprint planning and maintain schedules that keep projects on track by proactively surfacing blockers and navigating priority tradeoffs.
- Analyze work patterns to identify repeatable project types and propose corresponding additions to brand asset menus.
- Use tools like Claude Code or similar to develop and refine internal capacity planning applications to improve scheduling and planning systems.
- Continuously update project management processes based on team feedback and actual work execution to enhance efficiency and output.
- Coordinate closely with stakeholders across marketing and creative teams to align scope, timelines, and priorities.
- Maintain clear, proactive communication and uphold accountability for deadlines within a remote, asynchronous work environment.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years in project management, production, or creative operations roles, preferably supporting creative or brand teams.
- Proven experience managing high-volume intake and prioritization processes involving multiple internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to build or improve project management systems rather than simply maintain them.
- Experience with no-code or AI-powered tools to construct light internal automations or tools.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills working with marketers, designers, and creative leadership.
- Proficient using Notion or similar project management platforms and comfortable building user-friendly systems.
- Ability to stay composed in high-pressure, dynamic situations and proactively communicate status and issues.
Personal Traits
- Calm and composed under pressure, able to reduce team stress.
- Proactive communicator who provides regular updates without prompting.
- Firm but collaborative in managing scope and capacity, leveraging data-driven recommendations.
- Anticipates potential problems and addresses them early to prevent escalation.
- Meticulously documents decisions and keeps stakeholders informed consistently.
- Prefers creating small tools to solve recurring problems over manual fixes.
Challenges to Avoid
- Dependency on predefined procedures; this role requires building new playbooks dynamically.
- Difficulty adapting to ambiguity or evolving priorities within a creative calendar.
- Reluctance to escalate or flag capacity or scope concerns proactively.
- Reliance on synchronous communication in an environment that operates primarily asynchronously across time zones.
Work Hours & Location
This role is fully remote with team members distributed globally. The core operating hours align mainly with East Coast US time, requiring flexibility for early mornings or late evenings if located on the West Coast, in Europe, or Asia.
Compensation & Contract Details
This is a part-time contractor position for approximately 20 hours per week, compensated at a rate of $6,000 per month dependent on experience. The initial contract term is six months with the possibility of renewal based on business needs. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes and benefits, submitting monthly invoices. This contract role does not include eligibility for full-time employee salary or benefits packages.
Hiring Process
Applicants can expect a two-step interview: a 45-minute interview with the hiring manager followed by a 60-minute panel interview. The company emphasizes reading every application thoroughly, asking for a cover letter and responses to application questions to better understand candidates' experience.
Diversity & Inclusion
Kit is committed to equal opportunity employment and values diversity in all forms. The company encourages candidates who meet most of the qualifications to apply, regardless of gender, race, or background.
