Job description
About the Role
We are seeking a mid-senior level Brand Marketing Manager who thrives on ownership rather than mere oversight. This role involves close collaboration with the VP of Marketing & Strategy, overseeing brand campaigns, advertiser-centered marketing, content creation, events, and industry partnerships for both Inshorts and Public App.
You will be responsible for translating broad and sometimes ambiguous briefs into structured, actionable plans by aligning internal and external parties and driving projects to completion. This includes developing briefs, crafting compelling narratives, managing production processes, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
You will operate within a dynamic, founder-driven environment where marketing closely interacts with product, sales, brand solutions, and leadership teams. Your contributions will directly influence brand reputation and income streams.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert business and branding goals into precise campaign briefs, content strategies, and creative plans.
- Manage brand and advertiser-targeted marketing campaigns for Inshorts and Public App from start to finish.
- Lead projects from briefing through launch, coordinating timelines, stakeholders, production, and approvals to ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate with design, content, and video teams to create consistently superior creative across multiple platforms and formats.
- Oversee brand video and creative production processes, including ideation, scripting, filming, and final edits.
- Generate content concepts that elevate the group’s reputation among consumers and industry stakeholders.
- Enhance the positioning of Inshorts and Public App within brand, agency, and marketing leader circles.
- Leverage campaign outcomes, audience data, and platform features to build persuasive marketing messages.
- Create advertiser-oriented materials such as presentation decks, one-pagers, websites, mailers, LinkedIn content, and industry publication articles.
- Work with internal teams and external collaborators to maintain a consistent and high-standard brand experience across all contact points.
- Organize and execute the group’s participation in industry events, partnerships, and award programs, including communication, collateral development, and on-site brand representation.
Candidate Profile
- 4 to 6 years of experience in brand marketing, marketing communications, or integrated campaigns within consumer internet companies, media or content platforms, digital-first brands, or agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to independently interpret briefs, structure workloads, and deliver outcomes without supervision.
- Exceptional attention to detail and high standards for creativity across design, language, and presentation.
- Excellent creative judgement including scripting video content, refining copy, and evaluating design quality.
- Ability to move seamlessly between B2B advertiser or CMO communications and consumer-focused marketing.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple concurrent projects efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience engaging marketers within adtech, media, agencies, platform-related marketing, or B2B environments.
- Knowledgeable about the Indian digital advertising sector and its networks including agencies, trade media, and industry groups.
Role Clarifications
- This is a purely individual contributor role focusing on ownership through execution excellence rather than managing a team.
- The position is distinct from performance or growth marketing functions.
- The role demands active involvement in creative and strategic delivery, not just coordination of tasks.
- Candidates should be comfortable transforming ideas and briefs into concrete copy, presentations, creative feedback, production and final outputs.
