Job description
About Arondite
Arondite builds the software foundations that help organisations operate autonomy, data and AI at scale. Its platform is designed to help operators coordinate multiple systems and capabilities, so they can make high-stakes decisions faster than those working against them.
The company’s mission is to support the UK and its allies in staying ahead of those who threaten their values and way of life. The technology is made for difficult, austere environments and is trusted by demanding users. Arondite also works directly alongside customers, bringing technical expertise wherever it is needed.
The business is at an important stage of growth and is backed by well-known investors including Index Ventures. It is being built by high-performing engineers who enjoy ambitious, technically complex work and want to create meaningful impact. The role offers real ownership and autonomy from the first day, with no traditional corporate ladder.
About the Role
Design sits at the centre of Arondite’s work, and the company wants its brand to reflect that priority. This position is the first brand design hire within the marketing and communications team. You will partner closely with marketing, deployment, product design and strategy teams to shape brand direction, define the visual assets needed, and decide how best to deliver them.
You will act as the main voice of the Arondite brand, taking ownership of the visual identity from the start and helping it evolve as the company grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the ongoing development, refinement and evolution of the Arondite brand.
- Create strong visual assets for marketing and external communications, including presentations, factsheets, white papers, event stands, advertisements and social content.
- Produce illustrations and graphics that strengthen product marketing.
- Maintain a consistent brand language across all outputs while continuing to explore fresh creative approaches.
- Work with growth, video, design and operations teams to understand business and project needs, then deliver design work that clearly represents the quality of the company’s work.
- Develop, organise and expand a high-quality library of assets and templates so teams can self-serve design materials.
- Identify and test new design-led opportunities across functions and priority areas.
Requirements
- A highly polished, distinctive portfolio showing brand work across several formats, including digital, print, web, presentations and more.
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in brand design or graphic design, either agency-side or in-house within a fast-moving product business.
- Strong command of core design principles such as typography, hierarchy, composition and colour, including both conceptual work and complex document layouts.
- Confidence working quickly and making sound independent decisions, especially when briefs are incomplete or ambiguous.
- Experience working with technical teams and complex organisations is a plus.
- Motion graphics, video production or photography experience is a significant advantage, along with a willingness to experiment and learn new creative skills.
- Ability to collaborate with external and internal design partners, including giving direction and constructive feedback.
- The company encourages applicants from diverse backgrounds and does not expect every candidate to meet every requirement.
Additional Information
Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK at the time they apply.
This position may require security clearance or a willingness to undergo UK vetting at Security Check level or higher. That usually means having lived continuously in the UK for at least 5 years.
The working culture is office-first. Arondite values an in-person, collaborative environment and expects people to come into the office by default, while still allowing occasional work from home when appropriate. Some roles may also involve travel to visit customers.

- Submit a CV along with initial questions.
- Participate in an introductory Teams call lasting 30 to 45 minutes.
- Attend an in-person portfolio review and discussion lasting 45 minutes, followed by a 45-minute brand exploration and critique.
- Complete a final interview with one of the founders, lasting 30 minutes.
Benefits
- Highly competitive base salary.
- Generous EMI share option equity in a well-funded startup.
- Employer pension contribution of 7%.
- Free daily meals in the office.
- Private medical and dental insurance, with optional dependent cover.
- Cycle-to-work scheme.
- Relocation support.
- Access to all resources, equipment and training needed to perform the role at a world-class level.
