Job description
Overview
This opportunity is for a communications leader in Canada who can help shape executive visibility, strengthen brand credibility, and grow influence across the digital marketing and AI space. The role focuses on turning leadership insights, customer stories, and market expertise into content and campaigns that build trust and recognition.
You will work in a highly collaborative setting that brings together content strategy, executive communications, public relations, and AI-assisted content workflows. The role offers strong ownership, creative freedom, and the chance to experiment with new communication formats and emerging tools.
Impact in this role will be judged by audience trust, industry influence, and media presence rather than just output volume.
What you will do
- Work closely with founders and senior leaders to shape executive communication plans and raise their personal brand presence.
- Convert interviews, discussions, and business insights into polished LinkedIn posts, articles, newsletters, presentations, scripts, and other leadership-focused content.
- Create and maintain content calendars for executives to keep messaging consistent and publishing regular across channels.
- Develop thought leadership plans by spotting new industry trends and producing original, well-researched content.
- Build relationships with journalists, editors, podcast hosts, publication teams, and industry voices to open up earned media opportunities.
- Manage outreach and coordination for guest articles, podcasts, webinars, speaking opportunities, awards, and media placements.
- Partner with marketing, SEO, AI, design, and content teams to turn customer insights into campaigns and original research.
- Adapt content into multiple formats while protecting brand consistency and extending reach.
- Use AI-based tools to support research, ideation, content creation, and workflow efficiency while preserving originality and quality.
Role requirements
- 5 to 7 years of experience in brand communications, public relations, executive communications, content marketing, or thought leadership.
- Strong writing, editing, and narrative-building skills with experience creating content for senior leaders.
- Hands-on experience collaborating with founders, executives, or subject matter experts on personal branding.
- Good understanding of LinkedIn, B2B marketing, executive positioning, and personal brand strategy.
- Experience pitching articles, podcasts, webinars, conferences, and other earned-media opportunities.
- Excellent interviewing, communication, stakeholder coordination, and relationship-building abilities.
- Solid project management skills and the ability to handle several priorities at once.
- Comfort working with AI content tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, NotebookLM, or similar platforms.
- Ability to uncover compelling stories from customer experiences, internal expertise, and market trends.
- Nice-to-have experience includes agency work, digital PR, newsletter audience growth, podcast coordination, speaking program management, or published work in recognized industry outlets.
