Job description
Job Overview
As the Branch Manager of the Middle East subsidiary, you will oversee multiple departments including Customer Care, Distribution, Quality, Warehouse, and Supply Chain functions in Dubai. This leadership role demands comprehensive management of operational activities ensuring efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise customer care operations including quotation and order processing, follow-up on open orders, and managing employee performance. Facilitate communication with customers and coordinate training seminars on systems and products for staff.
- Manage inbound material handling with logistics; ensure on-time delivery by coordinating with freight forwarders; verify transportation documentation compliance; handle complaints about lost/damaged shipments including claims processing and settlement; prepare export documentation.
- Oversee quality management documents and contribute to quality improvement programs, coordinating inspections as necessary.
- Direct warehouse staff activities, inspect facilities and equipment, recommend improvements and equipment purchases, coordinate scheduling and safety programs, and ensure accuracy of inventory including periodic physical counts.
- Collaborate closely with sales management to improve on-time delivery, monitor forecast orders, and manage slow or excess inventory.
- Supervise customer care supervisors and warehouse team leaders.
Qualifications and Experience
- College degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in warehousing and traffic management.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent proficiency in English and the local language; additional languages are advantageous.

Performance Metrics
Success in this role will be measured by metrics such as transportation cost relative to turnover, stock turnover rates, customer service levels, credit notes issued, lost sales, customer returns, employee competence in Movex and product knowledge, and leadership effectiveness.
